It's been stuck on the charge screen, frozen, for weeks on end now. Occasionally it'll pop back into action, but it's usually only a matter of hours before it freezes up again.

What can I do? This has completely interrupted my reading.

Ha ha ha, fucking eBook plebs.
Read a real book.

Honestly though, Amazon should give you a refund.

Mine had a similar problem. It would work for a while, and then freeze & reboot seemingly at random.

What worked for me was the following:
- Go to Home Screen
- Press Menu button
- Select 'Settings' option
- Press Menu button again
- Select Reset to Factory Defaults

Now. This will delete everything on your Kindle so make sure you got it backed up. Once it's rebooted, just register your Kindle to your Amazon account and your books should appear in Archived Items.
Hopefully the freezing will have stopped.

Good luck

Have you tried manually restarting it? Did you drop it in water or something

i believe you are lying about your non existent e-reader to start a debate about ebooks vs real books
