So someone made this thread on /v/ saying games can't have good storylines, and some shitty trolls who said they were from /lit/ showed up and filled the thread with verbal diarrhea. They made a bunch of wild claims that they couldn't back up; the most outrageous of these was to say that literally any novel has a better story than literally any videogame, and then they cited Atlas Shrugged as an example. Needless to say, they got savaged. You know what the saddest part of this is? At least some of the people who think this way probably went to renowned universities.

This thread exists to remind you that your opinions are sophomoric tripe, and if the educational system did its job you'd be laughed out of academia. Everyone of any importance in any meaningful field regards you with nothing but contempt.

tl;dr get the fuck out of /v/ and stay out

So how long until someone makes a counter-thread on /v/ in response to this?

I don't know why you're complaining. Soudns like a a decent improvent of the the usualy /v/ discussions.

So which famous author would have loved video games. /lit/

I skimmed through that inane, shitty thread and nobody made the ridiculous claims that you attribute to some /lit/ poster. I suggest you improve your reading comprehension, because it doesn't seem like you can understand simple English. Also, I suggest you fuck off back to your shitty containment board instead of spamming this board in some ``epic" attempt to criticize us.

No one here considers video game stories to be of much value.

Shit like Papers Please, Fallout 2, Planescape Torment, Chrono Cross and Shadows of the Colossus are amongst the top stories found in video games and pale in comparison to even mid-tier literature like Kurt Vonnegut.

tl;dr /lit/ doesn't play video games for the stories

See this post: >>254963440

It's literally in the first line. Perhaps it's you who needs to improve your reading comprehension. Also:

>/v/
>Containment board
>Not one of the biggest boards on 4chan

You're quite mistaken. /lit/ is a containment board to keep your ilk away from us, but it seems to be leaking.

>>5192510

No one here has enough intelligence to make that judgment, so why should we care?
