I just finished writing/editing a young adult novel that's about 550 pages long. It would be my debut.

99,000 words of a steampunk fantasy novel which is absolute trash. It's about some hooligans that steal an airship and go on a joyride doing random shit before getting captured and they turn the main character into a moth and put him in a jar til he suffocates to death.

I write in short bursts. But I think I have a somewhat voluminous amount of short writings saved up, in the form of poems, journal entries (brief, 1-3 pages), and micro-fiction/unfinished short stories. I just don't write long. Probably b/c of my millennial upbringing.

A 22,000 word novella that -- you learn at the end, what a tweest, if you hadn't picked up on it before -- sets the stage for a late Neolothic/Early Bronze Age retelling of the Arthurian mythos. It's all very Robert E Howard-ish.

A story about a man (who is basically me) who goes in the dead of night and fills a bus trap with cement, gets arrested and goes on a rant and eventually through continual lack of cooperation and outright offensiveness to the authorities earns himself 10 years in prison. I still have to rewrite the ending because although the idea is solid, it's currently poorly worded.

It is an alternate universe historical fiction novel. It has five characters that span 700 years, the actions of each one compounding upon the other with events that gradually differ from real history. It begins in 14th century Venice and ends in a bombed, scavenger filled 1982 Baltimore.

Needless to say, it was far too much for a first time attempt at a novel and the story quickly spiraled out of my control. I have every intention of finishing it, I just need more experience to properly handle it.

Sure thing. its speed racer mixed with wipeout in an origins story. This is just the tip of the iceberg before it turns into the grand adventure.its a Monomyth so think of it as the shire before the ring shows up, the moisture farm before the droids show up, or the kid before the letter to hog warts appears. The books were written out of order so when I wrote this one I planted ALL kinds of seeds and foreshadowing for the rest of the series and even the final book/scene. I think kids will lose their shit for it. I wrote it for my neice just after she was born in 2003, I even created a character named after her. What's great is that she's now the age of the target demographic is want to read it. Who wouldn't want an adventure written for them? Oh well. Hit me back. >AT LONG LAST AFTER decades of miserly days spent hiding in the shadows, after bitter years of sourly watching his enemies gather and grow; finally, he had the power he had been craving; the key to his heart’s desire resting in his palm. It was cool to the touch, rounded and smooth. It wasn’t particularly heavy but it held a weight in strength equal to that of a thousand men. When he had found it, eagerly unearthed it from its long forgotten grave, it had shone brightly, red and orange, crimson and gold, awakening in a rainbow of fire to his touch. It was beautiful, a true piece of master craftsmanship from those winged fools. But its beauty mattered less than little; its value to him was in its power, not in its wealth.
