I bought a copy of The Brothers Karamazov and realised that it wasn't from the same collection as my copy of Crime and Punishment (thus having a different cover layout).

So I found the copy with the same cover as my C&P and bought it. This is on kindle, but still.

But prose too can be aesthetically sublime. Assuming the worse translation has worse prose you still wouldn't be surrounded in the aesthetically sublime. A solution would be to switch the covers if possible, which is unlikely, otherwise one might choose to eschew the purchase of the book for the sake of aesthetics.
