Do you have a special place that you go to read to shut out distractions. Library? Beach?Summerhouse? Study? Ancient catacombs?

>> No.7078728

Yeah, I go to the local library almost every day to read but when I'm too lazy to make it there I usually just stick to ancient catacombs.

I borrow my dad's car and go to the large Asda car park in my city. It's the least normie infested area I know.

Cathedral next to the library.
It's actually quieter since they installed a fucking cafe in the library.

Do you guys live ten to a room or something?

That is gorgeous, I am jealous. Most cathedrals in my city are small and fit between high rises.

Lying on my bed is the most comfortable place for me to read. I don't have any distractions there whatsoever and I can fully immerse myself in my book.

Yet I always end up daydreaming while I read at home, and I'll eventually get sleepy while on my bed. Reading at the library prevents both of these.

My favourite physical environment to read in is on the bench by the lake, a two minute walk from my house.

If I stay at home I always end up wasting my day on an Ethiopian stone carving forum.

Not when you're in the ancient catacombs.

Secluded benches are the best.

I also find my mind to be the biggest distraction while reading although other people are a close second.

Actually there's a really nice church nearby that I've never seen as a reading environment but I'll have to check it out.

I usually read sitting on my chair, though this is not optimal because after every chapter I take a break to browse a savonian salmon board.

Summer house. I go there every summer and I read a lot there. Its so much easier to concentrate on reading there than it is when I'm home(probably because computer/tv and just all that useless stuff thats here to distract me).

I can read in noisy environments (subway) but not in quiet ones with some noise (room with a person talking in it). I just try to find the farthest room in my house away from the source, although walls are thin.

Most people posting here do because in all actuality most people posting here don't actually like reading or writing that much. It's all a big fucking masquerade here.
