If the definition of nihilism is "i don't believe in anything"(i could very well be wrong here, i have read exactly 0 nihilistic authors) why does it follow that nothing matters? Something may matter, but you deny that it is possible to know per this definition.

Also, prove to me that nothing matters. It will help you clarify your thought and may help you get out of your depression when you realize you don't actually have any coherent arguments.

Your "nihilism" is a defense mechanism. You know that there are some things that you want for yourself, that you must value over other things, but for whatever reason, you won't pursue them. Maybe because you know you'll fail -- I'm not sure. Consider seeing a counselor.
