Hey /lit/ so what do you prefer reading? First person stories or third person? How do you feel it impacts your ability to enjoy a book?

Personally when its first person and the protagonist is female or otherwise nonhuman its hard to get invested.

This is from the testing log of SCP-093, Red Sea Objects

Those are the Unclean, that's a D-class

I don't know, it's been years since I've read SCP stories, and I've only ever read a couple. Don't remember the titles.

I prefer my creepypasta to not be obviously fiction.

Well there ain't exactly many decent ones, but a few of my favourites:

009
032
056
086
089
093
096
140
178

Some of them are just interesting in the rigour with which they follow their own internal logic

I usually don't care about first or third person, but first person and present tense together are enough for me to skip a book altogether.

First-person AND preset tense? LAWD.

Awkward to read. Try-hard.
How many published books really do this? Only a few for sure.
