Hey /lit/ I randomly picked up this book and finally finished it. It was realy tedious for many passages and all of a sudden turned out to be weird. I can't tell if I consider this book good or bad. What's your opinion on this book and it's sequel?

Hey /lit/
I randomly picked up this book and finally finished it. It was realy tedious for many passages and all of a sudden turned out to be weird.
I can't tell if I consider this book good or bad.

What's your opinion on this book and it's sequel?

Dance, Dance, Dance (only a sort of sequel, because I read it before AWSC and it didn't matter one bit) is his best IMO. Murakami writes a good set of characters this time AND has something to say about his country and modern society.

I'm much more fond of Murakami's earlier works though (even parts of Pinball are great).
