Not OP, but personally I have a cousin with a wall of funko pops who plays video games when he isn't at work. I don't consider him the death knell of civilization and he is not meaningful in the grand scheme of things, but you can smell OP's ressentiment over the fact that such people are entirely unfazed by what causes him anguish. I for one respect anyone who can cause that much seething simply by affirming his own life. If he wants to gather all the funko pops of his favorite pantheon of characters because they bring him joy, how much greater is that joy for the misery it inspires in OP. It's a beautiful thing to see someone get so angry, and in the true spirit of all ages to point and laugh at them for their insecurities over other people enjoying their lives

All of those exist in Buddhism but Buddhism is far less centralized and different sects emphasize different things. Some will have more of those features and others less.
