one time while trying to fall asleep, giving in to the numerous ruminations and a compulsive paranoia, I looked deep inside myself, as deep as I could possibly go, beyond all warning signs, physical restrictions my body imposed on me and mental walls I have either erected or that have been there without my knowledge, I was shaking in bed, shivering and breathing with anxiety but when I broke through that last wall and my heart dropped I only found a great void, there was nothing at all there, no hidden truth, no grand revelation, just nothing, I am a completely empty person and my ego was trying to protect itself from me finding out but now I truly see
I fell asleep soon after
