What I used to do was go to parties at night, especially in college, and even if i wasnt invited i would show up, odds were that there were so many people there that nobody knew who was and wasnt invited. You could go to a party and eat like a fucking king (usually), not to mention down a shitload of liquor.

The Secrets of Droon series by Tony Abbott, they may be children's books but they were the shit when I was a kid! I went back and read a few a few months ago and I realized that much of the lore throughout the book had it's roots in antiquity, kinda neat I thought.

honestly only read fear and loathing, and i was having trouble with my own writing style so i tried something more like his. i mean it does take place in Vegas but its not as deep as fear and loathing where it turns into hunter and oscar looking for the American dream. This is just two guys going to Vegas and going crazy, which is a lot like Thompson's books but not exactly. idk its hard to explain but i wasnt trying to rewrite his books.
