The Dresden Files was inspired by Glen Cook's Garrett Files. I enjoyed both.

Jim Butcher's Dresden Files has those things. And he has written thirteen of a planned 25 so far.

The quality is great. A kindle is lighter than a novel, especially the latest models.

And if you know where to look, you will make your money back after reading 10 to 20 books.

I would recommend The Dresden Files over Harry Potter.

The only problem is that he has written 13/25 novels, and publishes at a rate of one per year.

Another Australian here. The moment they accepted pre-orders I threw my money at Amazon, but they won't sell the Kindle Touch or Kindle Fire outside of the US.

Yesterday I finished reading my 52nd novel for the year, which was my goal. I was wondering of those of you that also set goals, how are you going?

I'm enjoying them. They are easy to read and only 250 pages a piece.

Years of entertainment left, but it sucks that they are spaced so far apart.
