No, due to constant spam during the period when sign-ins weren't required, I've decided that all entries between lines 196 and 715 will be invalidated and won't be counted. You can either vote in the form again, or you can alternatively put your five votes in this thread.

Too bad nigger. If you don't like it, make your own top 100. I'm not including shit like that in the top 100, (which I made, not you...). Now go back.

More discussion. I didn't really notice it till my friend pointed it out yesterday, but I believe stories like The Supernaturalist, along with my own upbringing, started the style in which I write and the type of stories I like to write.

For a younger based audience, The Supernaturalist was a rather dark novel in a similar way to how disney does many of their movies.

Spoilers coming, so don't look if you want to read the book.

Even when I was younger, I still could clearly relate to the situation the main character was in and I felt almost as trapped as he did in that institution. The struggles he went through, and how badly they treated him, reminded me of things going on in my own family while I was young. His only friend dying off at the beginning was brutal, and yet it didn't disturb me because of how the author wrote it. It was some hard shit, but at the same time he wrote it almost gently.

Now I have a fondness of writing from kids perspectives, but involving dark and what many would consider adult themes into my story making.

That's alright, I know everyone has authors they hate that many people love.

I've been trying to expand my author list a bit but I have a hard time finding authors that keep me interested after the first page or so, and what sucks is I can't remember the names of the authors that I read some really good stories from just a couple years ago. I've been trying to set time aside to read more and read different things, but my last couple years has been shit as far as life things go. It's getting better, just sucks as far as free time goes.

hey /lit/, what did you wear today? roughly in yesterday's outfit, but changed up shirt (of course) and the jacket is plain navy (bit brighter than navy now though I think)

anyway I think I pretty much have the lecturer style down which gives authority to my papers etc
