not in detail. i forgot all the details anyway.

obviously the specific references are arabic, just saying that i don't think it is exclusively a reference to arabs but rather the type of community arabs represent. it is at least a pan-semitic reference.

by jews i mean the old testament jews, a closed community lead by elders with authority in a religious structure.

i don't know anything about herbert's obsession with oil etc, so i am probably wrong with this interpretation.

the arab thing is not really an arab reference, it includes jews as well. any wandering community under duress and has to rely on its absolute will and discipline would fit the freeman bloodline.

the problem with the machine books is that it turned the central theme from a social and political one into a generic lolwefightrobots sci fi cliche.

rand is pretty small time even among individualist anarchists. try stirner for some authentic authority bashing.

haven't read the book, dont know enough to discuss. suspect the same for most people here.

it's political humor, dark humor, etc. you are supposed to find the logic of military life absurd. if you can't manage that then the book isn't getting through to you. not necessarily because you are dumb, but you don't have the necessary ideological background to appreciate it.

the fuck. do your work

not really. stealing 1 book means 1 less book for others to borrow, and 1 more book for the library to replace. the scale situation presents only a quantitative difference.

justified and true belief, but where are you going with it?

the cover art is great. don't know what you guys are talking about

yea, steal more so the library actually has to spend money on prevention measures. fucking genius

a moderated discussion on how twilight sucks can be better than reading the pilgrim's progress, just sayin.

>> No.446214 [View]

can't imagine why. there are more interesting books to be had with the money.

the collection does look impressive on a wall.
