I found all 11 volumes of Will Durant's History of Western Civilisation at a kiosk in Rome and bought them immediately.

It pushed my luggage over 10 kilos and the only way I was able to get through the airport with paying the extra weight charges was to tell the Italian airport worker that I'll give her a job at my family's restaurant if she was ever in Australia.

It's pretty much the coolest thing I've ever done, I think so anyway.
