This is the closest I've ever encountered to a literary equivalent to Theory Of Everything.

I just think it's a shame that people spend hunderds of hours on those tales while there are so many hundreds of greater litreture work in hand.

As a non-American I have only recently engrossed in the beautiful poetry of Robert Frost, and I haven't been that excited about discovering a poet in quite some time.

What are your favorite Frost's work?

Also, general Robert Frost thread.

Pretty much the only fantasy novel that I loved when I was 12 and I can go back to and appreciate now.

Yes, the book streches for too long and has its downsides, but it's still a damn great novel.

>> No.3045412 [View]

You sound 12, but here are a few good books for "meaning construction" that may get you somewhere:

The Plague / Camus

The death of Ivan Ilyich, The Kreutzer Sonata / Tolstoy

The Corrections/ Franzen

Beyond Sleep / Willem Frederik Hermans

Kafka on the shore is a masterpiece.

Norwegian Wood is one of my all time favorites, but it is completely different in style, a minor novel that sheds the surreal, epic on scale writing that Murakami is known for, for some heartbreaking coming to age literature.

Avant-garde?

Dude, there are people here who are yet to read Tolstoy.

Looking for Alaska was the only one I've read and I dislike it- not that it was a bad novel, but I don't see the appeal for people over 18.

His vlogs are damn fantastic, though.

Here's a fantasy for you: read good literature.

>> No.2928082 [View]

Yes, in 100 years Twilight will be taught in highschools. There is no good literature today, and never in history bad books have been published.
