Things Come together

Ukwonko, being the most open-minded man in the tribe, was the first to celebrate the arrival and welcome the friendship of the beloved white men and their steel horses.

Dr. Seuss is one of my favorite authors.
This is an immutable truth of my reality.

But none of them blew up like Harry Potter did.

She got lucky because, for whatever reason, the wizarding world was very, very well received.

Unlike all those you just mentioned; HP is huge.

She was poor though, so maybe she thought it through and predicted it would get big. Props if so.

Breakfast of Champions is lost on me.

I assume it's because it's my first novel by Vonnegut and I have to get used to his writing and the themes, devices, etc. that he uses.

They are what they are: a children's series. Just that.

The characters are static for the most part (Rowling to afraid to make Ron give in to jealousy and develop plot even more). Although the world is imaginative, it's simple; a device that helps you remember if you forgot something is called a . . . wait for it . . . a rememberall. The plot is imaginative yet direct; it's not a complicated so it's easy to follow (good for children).

Like many said, introductory literature that's good to get kids reading but will unfortunately and inevitably lead to other base series like Twilight. Rowling hit the jackpot in making one of the first series for kids that exploded.

Other than it's commercial success, it doesn't contribute much to Academia; which is why there aren't many good/serious journals on it.

It depends on your age and when you start reading it TBH (watching the movies first worsens it as the suspense is completely lost).

well, he claimed to be the son of God which stepped on toes, but technically he also said that we ALL are sons and daughters of God. He's just part of the trinity and represents us.

other than that, he wasn't such a bad guy...

Texas here

no one reads anything
at least not in school

If so, it has to be for pleasure and even then: it's a sports magazine.

America right now is pretty pathetic. It's a wonder we still have world influence.

the book explains why some girls act the way they do and how males play a role in her life.

this means that my knowledge of a girl's family life, esp. with her father, can aid me in seduction/find a girlfriend.

i mean it doesn't make you a ladies man, but there's a whole section on communicating with them and understanding them. every bit helps.

FTFY

Making posts and playing the role of OP is a pathetic excuse for improper grammar.
