Lmao I got so fucking mad one night that my friend was able to convince me to get a job after three years of laying around doing nothing after High-school. I still have it today and it's shit.

I'm a kitchen aide at a Nursing Home. I wash dishes and make dessert for the residents while assisting the cook and what not, but it's pretty cool in that though it pays like shit (I live with my Grandparents and use money for books and weeb-shit while helping them out because they're getting older) you get tons and tons and tons of downtime to read on the job. I read and sometimes write (No electronics thanks to HIPPA or whatever) on the job. It's pretty neat.

More free food than you can eat too. Just fucking annoying as shit since you have to literally worship the old folks (they're nice most of the time if you ignore the ones that've lost their minds or complain about everything) and have to put up with incompetent CNAs that make your job harder. I like the people I work with too much to quit.

I don't but I don't feel like this place offers anything for anyone actually wanting to make something out of themselves. The constant elitism and negativity ironic or not is embarrassing to watch because of how fucking irrelevant things like personal interests (liking anime and video games, reading genre fiction, whatever) are in the end.

Not to mention 4chan in general is a waste of time better spent elsewhere in general. I come here once or twice every four days to see what's up but then that's it. I felt like this place was negatively impacting my writing somehow so I cut it off like a rotten limb. This place isn't useless but holy fuck some people need to chill the hell out.

Granted I'm still an unmotivated ass that barely does anything but it's a step in the right direction.

I have a project, novel, I was working on for three years but it was going nowhere. I put it on the back burner because it devolved into smaller side stories with the main characters fucking around, having all sorts of wacky things happenings. Episodic with no point, used mainly as practice. So I started another thing I'm calling "MARMALADE" but I have no idea "what it is about". Started less than a week ago and I'm enjoying working on something new for a change that wasn't my other episodic Super Robo/Tokusatsu parody.

All I've got is two characters; I wanted more for three or four different individual parts that draw together somehow. A depressed schoolgirl whose dead uncle talks to her, but only through awful mostly incomprehensible old man jokes and some young Salary man with a demon possessed Moped named "ABANDON". It's just for fun.

Shit, I have a horrid problem with staying on task and with maintaining motivation, but with this new project, I'm slowly but surely doing something for a change.

Motivation. Trying too hard, too, I think. Too style over substance.

I really don’t know how my influences play into my work other than the crazy bullshit I like to write about, but I take ideas from a grand pool of shit I draw from the stuff I’m into. Outside of reading, I enjoy Anime and Video games, along with manga. Influences range from SMT to EVA /Lain to Tsutomu Nihei's BLAME and ABARA. I like surrealistic/postmodern literature, some Japanese lit (Dazai, Akutagawa, Abe, Both Murakami though I’ve read more of Cheeseburger-sama than Transparent Blue man. Haven't tried Mishima or Soseki yet but will eventually) and are reading my first Pynchon, V. and enjoying it.

I really don’t care about seeming literary or “patrician” and just do whatever the fuck I feel like. I don't write to show off. Reason I draw from so many different mediums is because I think it gives me an edge to have a large pool of ideas to draw from, especially if those things are the things I love.
