First of all I have a specific taste in art and movies.

Like: do you like scifi or romance or surreal or dystopic stuff? Action movies? Lord of the Rings or Interstellar?

From that you can find books in that genre. I like new authors because their language is more up to date. With that in mind it's much easier to find what I like.

The entire modern e-reader industry is assembled and manufactured in China. There are hardly any devices that are currently available that are not made in various factories, the only exceptions are the Kobo and Nook line of e-readers, which are made in Taiwan.
