I don't read YA, but I do read comics and literature. So , please explain why I cannot enjoy both Sam Humphries' Green Lanterns and Leo Tolstoy's Anna Karenina? Is it inconceivable that someone couldn't possibly enjoy both the Hainish Cycle and John Donne or Andrew Marvell's poetry?

I think comics are their own medium, with their norms and expectations of quality. A sound narrative only makes half a graphic novel.

So, /lit, I just finished Sopocles' Antigone. While reading it, I had a passing thought that perhaps the refusal of Creon to bury Polynices could have been inspired by the refusal of the Greeks to bury Greek mercenaries who died fighting fighting for Persia. Thoughts?
