bizdev anon here, if you want to make money you should start an upwork like peer reviewing service that matches poor grad students with cranks who are shunned by academia.

Is microdosing amphetamines for dopamine sensitization bullshit? I tried it before and thought it was working but I am wondering if that was just a placebo effect.

Is machine learning a bubble? Or is it a undervalued field?

Recently I was diagnosed with Herpes and I was thinking how I could possibly be cured or vaccinate people I am currently dating

The current ideas I have are
1. since the virus stays in the local nerve cluster, we can take their partners herpes virus and inject them into a partners preferred site to have herpes - thus if we accept that eventually the herpes will spread we can now choose where we have it while providing immunity against the same strain of herpes spreading.
2. Inject people with a large amount either dead or bioengieneered herpes virus that has their activation time severely culled. We would inject herpes virus in their preferred area to have it and then give a huge dose of valtrex and lysine as an added precaution against viral replication so that the immune system has time to create antibodies against the virus.
3. use stem cells to create a nerve cell transplant in a particular area and then eventually remove said nerves from the body after the body has sufficient anti-bodies

Would any of these work? im a statistics major so I have no knowledge of biology.

I have some significant holes in my mathematics and have been able to perform quite well in my elementary math courses (Calc I - II, Diff Eq) but would like to fix these gaps since I want to have a better understanding of what I am doing and plan on applying to the math major. This summer I am probably going to be working as well as taking Calc III and Linear Algebra . Would it be possible to read Lang from cover to cover if I start now and set a deadline by the end of the summer? Or should I just prioritize topics that I lack knowledge on the most and then slowly read the rest of the book?

>Bu-b-b-buh AI isn't that dangerous!
let's say I own a hedge fund or private equity fund and I said: "Well, all I want my AI to do is maximize the value of my portfolio,’ then the AI could decide, well, the best way to do that is to short consumer stocks, go long defense stocks, and start a war"

you see the problem now brainlets?
