I think you're failing to account for how friggin' huge the internal usable volume of Starship actually is. HLS Starship dedicates 5 full ring sections worth of volume to crew area and another 3 ring sections (tapering conically) up to the forward docking port. That's 24 meters tall by 8 meters across (internal). Crew Dragon2 is 4 meters across and 8.1 meters tall. Usable volume is a bit smaller than that. Starship is 2.5x wider than that and 3x taller than that, for internal reusable volume.
