1) The standard will always change, you are not the one setting the standard, you will be euthanized.

No idea do what degree she considers time blindness, but what is commonly referred to as that has seriously fucked me over before. A good percentage of /sci/ would think I'm intelligent, at least those who make IQ threads: I got tested due to struggling in school and I had like 133 or something just above the "gifted child" threshold. For me, time blindness feels a lot like a description I've seen on the internet: time doesn't feel like a continuum but like a binary state. There's now and not now.

One aspect is constantly getting dates wrong. A few days ago I believed it was 2022 and I was getting frustrated I couldn't enter this in an online form. Not bad, maybe a bit silly. But for the future, this sucks. If it's not imminent, I struggle so much to do things. I know something takes a month to do. I know the deadline is in 5 weeks. But this is so far in the future I cannot start. I've written most of my bachelor and master theses in one night. That wasn't possible for my PhD thesis and I had a really tough time. I sat down well in advance and my brain just didn't work. It is completely retarded, but it didn't feel right to write something that's due in 6 months. It wasn't a conscious choice but something outside of my control.

That's when I got diagnosed with adhd and suddenly all my school and university projects written in a stressful, sleepless night made sense. It has helped me accept and improve this behaviour. I would have appreciated learning this 10-20 years earlier.

Don't hate on the people who are always late, they might not do it on purpose. But if you're late and it causes problems for others, find ways to trick your idiot brain, or pay the adhd tax and take a taxi to be on time.
