If atoms are made of quantum particles.

What are quantum particles made out of? Just pure energy?

If string theory is correct, then tiny, vibrating strings. If not, then they are just pure energy.

The question came up yesterday and my friend said that quantum particles are made out of atoms.

But that got me thinking if that really is true since atoms are made out of quantum particles itself so how could atoms count as a building block?

Pretty much yes. I showed how the spectrum of the fundamental particles is the spectrum of phonons allowed in a cosmological lattice that describes the universe very well. Phonons are just vibrational energy in propagation.

You can see the lattice here in pic related. This is the unit cell of the lattice. Also, jusging by the way I had to refresh the page to get my comment to appear, it probably got censored because the Lord's enemies hate the Word of God and the idea that it could reach the ears of those whom God would have hear it is like their worst nightmare.

Ohhhh I see!

So that's the model of the smallest possible building blocks of which, for example neutrons and protons are made out of?

Thanks anon.

This proves to me that my friend were wrong and I should study physics again.

Because you seem so nice I just want to let you know the poster you're replying to is a namefagging schizo. He constantly replies to threads with unscientific nonsense. One of the giveaways is that the paper he linked was on vixra which is not a peer-reviewed site. You can put anything on there.

For real? Thanks for the notification. I rarely visit /sci/ so had no idea.

Do you think you could point me to the right direction of where I could dive deeper into this topic? I found one book laying around in my book but does not fully explain the subatomic particles so I have to constantly search around.

Unironically?

It's universes all the way down. Sagan believed this. And this is what multiverse theory is all about, too.

Atoms are galaxies, or maybe even something bigger. It's even possible that each atom is its own observable universe. As in, this moment you are inside an atom within another Universe.

This might sound schizo, but it is by far the most likely explanation for reality based on a number of phenomenon.

particles are resonant states of quantum fields in Quantum Field Theory. Fields are basically a "level under" particles. We have no clue what fields are made out of. They are purely mathematical as far as we know.

You should read or listen to Stephen Hawking’s A Brief History of Time.
I know nothing about you or how educated you are, but it’s written so that an average high schooler can understand it. It explains everything on this chart and is a great book.

I don’t know if that’s what sagan believed. After just reading Broca’s Brain again, he pokes a little fun at people saying “The world is in the back of a turtle” Then what’s that turtle standing on? “Ha, it’s turtles all the way down”
