haven't watched dr. been's videos in a while but bret's hypothesis is that the mrna shots aren't able to target specific types of cells to turn into spike protein generators, so what happens is they end up in the heart (not intended) where heart cells manufacture the spike protein and are thus attacked and destroyed by the immune system (as intended). this mechanism is not a big deal in theory if the mrna stays localized to the shoulder (in practice it rarely does) but the heart has basically zero capacity to repair itself so when you kill those cells off, they cause inflammation and scarring and hence lifelong damage.

john campbell's accompanying conjecture is that this is a bigger deal when administrators don't aspirate and they end up injecting into a blood vessel rather than the deltoid muscle, which explains the people who don't get myocarditis (as far as they're aware - subclinical myocarditis is definitely a thing).

I'll give a very simple example of Bret getting lost in the sauce when it comes to complex conspiracy. The issue of military readiness is one that Bret has very strong opinions on without actually having done any proper investigation into it. He made very strong statements about how the "patterns fit better" with an intentional campaign to make our military less capable, while this genuinely could not be further from the truth. The military is facing a genuine crisis of competency in leadership at all levels, and a large part of that comes from having a military that has focused so heavily on expansion and readiness that it cannot maintain its own logistical infrastructure. This is precisely the conversation I was referring to. It's interesting how we both watched the same conversation and came away with vastly different interpretations of how it went.

I'm not even a huge Robert Wright fan, and find he is often frustratingly compliant with the progressive flavor of the month ideas. This conversation made Bret seem completely unhinged in a way that was disheartening to me as someone who was very into Dark Horse for a long time (including well into his COVID arc). I share a lot of his skepticism about the vaccines, and while I'm not convinced about ivermectin, am greatly in favor of research into off-label treatments for novel diseases being done.

Where I have a very strong disagreement with him is the idea that the regulatory bodies arrived at the inverse of good practice. There was often reasonable guidance given, see proper ventilation requirements for indoor areas, advice surrounding proper hydration and fever suppression, and even the general recommendation for physical distancing when possible. The two cases where they were very far beyond good advice were in the vaccine mandates (which can very easily be explained by incompetence and trying to maintain legitimacy with a cope-filled belief that the vaccine actually is as perfect as advertised) and masking (which is largely similarly fueled by coping/wishful thinking). These are both cases where the desire to maintain "legitimacy" in the eyes of the public lead towards them overextending the tools they believed to be capable of solving the problem. None of this requires sabotage or intentional executive incompetence as he has repeatedly suggested.
