but when you play a regular shmup you just memorize the whole thing. Even if you don't play with the memo mindset, after a while you just remember the thing without even trying. So memo-based games like Ikaruga become easy after a while.
and no it's not the hardest ever even if you want to play it like a moron, most 2-ALL or very hard 1-ALL (like Same3 or Tatsujin Oh) are still harder because of the insane preparation needed. You're definitely not going to clear those games without preparation.

no, came back to reiterate after playing it for a while last night. xmen 2 sucks still. second level in itself is trash. the game starts you up getting shot by the tank. fuck suck physics. only thing done well is mutant powers. mutant apocalypse is 1000000x more playable then that shit. i'll fire up xmen 1 tonight.
