The Days of Mana special was a huge part of why I enjoyed this game so much as a kid. It really brought out my imagination.

Frankly I don't want to suck the fun out of my hobby by making it my job. Also I love mathematics, physics, and engineering, and find them to be more worthy as lifelong pursuits. Nature hides great beauty.

That said, I have recently been looking into the Android API, I have implemented my own 3d graphics rendering pipeline, and love to see my programs brought to life (although coding can be a chore). I've thought about programming games for smart phones, or maybe doing visualizations for bands (think Big Gigantic, their light guy is essentially the 3rd member of the band) as a side job.

However I think I like programming old shit because it helps me recapture the little bit of how I felt towards vidya as a kid. Games were hard to come by and you used a lot more imagination to give them life. Also I like the challenge of balancing realism with limited resources and fun.
