How good is this? Worth it or not?

this is a Peter Griffin Joker Bomb Strapped To Chest ass take but with a light gun its not too bad. still far from perfect but with enough polish it could have been a classic

Is this game as bad as the reviewers at the time made it seem? They basically labeled it as an abortion of an RE game.

Why hasn't anyone patched the lightgun aiming back in?

I'll also argue that RE Survivor is worth playing. Its short (takes about an hour and a half tops), in fact its so short that it doesn't even have any typewriters or other methods of saving the game. It's in first person and fully in 3d meaning no backgrounds at all, but due to it recycling the 3d assets from RE2 and 3 it kinda maintains the tone and vibe that previous games set.

Combat is pretty shitty, characters and acting are terrible just like in RE1 if not even worse, but again the game manages to have downright enjoyable atmosphere. Plus it has some replay value because numerous times through the game you get to choose which path you will take onward, and every path has different areas to explore. So you could easily replay the game 3 times and see largely different areas. I'm not saying it's a great game, its in fact very mediocre if not even subpar but the ambiance and atmosphere are better than most horror games on the system.

Do you think it's possible that someone could go back and fix this game?

Maybe make it less shitty?

What did you think of Resident Evil Survivor on the PS1 and Windows in Taiwan only?

I knew it was terrible before I bought it, but I was a really big Resident Evil fan at the time and it was in a bargain bin. No regrets, I'll get around to playing it again sometime just for laughs.
