As someone who traveled / moved around a lot, absolutely mind-blowing at the time ... once the afterburner mod came out. Everyone I know either got afterburner or dropped it until the SP came out. Everyone shits on the SNES ports now but at the time, walking around with portable SNES games -- including huge titles like FF and BoF -- was a huge plus. No one at the time gave two shits about the sound chip stuff or the color issues on the frontlit units. It literally did not cross my mind.

Looking back, the lineup is still wild for specific genres. If you are into strategy, FFTA, two Fire Emblems, and two Advance Wars? That's nuts.

Dumb question but can YU-NO (and PC98 games in general) be played with 100% controller? I want to emulate the sovlfvl version on a chink handheld.

I have one and it rules, but if all you are looking for is GB/C/A then an AGS-101 is 99.9% of the way there. If you are getting it for the TV output then get a Consolizer, which is currently superior to the Pocket Dock.

I think this is a great way to play GB/C/A games but I don't understand why anyone would get it just for that. Everyone is getting this for the jailbreak and community cores that will come out. It's almost not even worth discussing how good it is at GB/C/A (it's fine!) because that isn't the point. If you want a handheld for < 5th gen CPU-based emulation there are many wonderful options, but if you want an FPGA-based handheld for whatever reason, this is it and no one will compete in this market. There will never be a mass-produced handheld Mister.
