I agree, Halo's drab colour scheme really didn't pop as much as Japan's own Resident Evil 4

Played through this recently with a friend on Steam for the first time since the early 00s. We played on Legendary and it was a pretty fun coop shooter, which seems to be a lost art. With the game fresh in my mind, I can say a few things.
pros:
>good music
>looks good (steam remaster)
>shotgun is incredible
>moderately challenging on Legendary at times
>driving is fun
>grenades are fun
cons:
>gunplay is somewhat bad outside of magnum, sniper rifle and shotgun
>the assault rifle is awful
>level design is pretty bad at times and very repetitive
>feels like it lacks the precision of other shooters due to only the magnum and sniper rifle being able to get headshots
Regarding the level design, Assault on the Control Room in particular was pretty repetitive. It felt like we passed through at least five or six of those buildings and cleared the same waves of mobs every time and it felt like it was repetitive to pad playtime. Basically the mission felt way longer than it should have been, but other than that, it was alright.
In general I think it is still a good game, but it's not perfect. I would give it a solid 6.5/10 or 7/10. What did you think of it?

2001=fps started (Halo1) 2002-2003 = classical fps (Medal of honour - Day of defeat) 2004 = Golden age of fps for old gamers (Call of duty 2) 2005 = improved fps for realistic gamers (battlefield2) 2006 = futre gamers golden perios (battlefield 1942) 2007= peak innovation of fps in graphics and gamepley (crysis2) 2008 = some good fpses (far cry 2 ) but fps is starting to go downhill 2009 = little increase in the quality of fps (Halo 3 ODST) 2010 = pretty much no good fps coming out 2011 = only good fps release was battlefield 3 2012 = fps is dead no more good fps has been released since R.I.P FPS

The GBA was pretty much my entire childhood next to Halo
