Okay so I have finally found the time to test it and I can confirm the "Audio pop" while changing cores and I can confirm the clipping over the 3.5 mm audio jack.

I don't had any issues while I had the audio running over HDMI, but I must be honest, that my TV speakers aren't that great.

Can't test toslink jet because I don't have an adapter for the audio jack.

If you want to try it out yourself -> Metal Slug X the second level. Very early in the stage the mummy spit out flying bugs (see pic). While shooting the bugs you can hear the clipping very clearly over the audio jack.

Anyone knows if toslink is affected too?
Probably it's time for a bug report, so the audio levels gets lower to avoid clipping over the audio jack.
