Not japanese-y enough? Fuck you! The Japanese loved it so much its influence on their games is still felt today with FFXV being the latest descendant of its mechanics being infused into JRPGs.

This thread turned into a weird console war.

Also, I want to say Drakken. It was kinda great, for trying to be a 3D RPG on a console, using mode 7, and faux scaling sprites. But it has janky combat, where the character AI is a bit brain dead. But I like the soundtrack and and the gameplay has a weird appeal.
