Has anyone ever used SFHack for Super Fire Pro Wrestling X Premium in emulators?

I'm thinking about making new saves for it and an editing program would be super useful.

>implying they remembered to program hit detection on the ropes
>implying submissions aren't overpowered

>Super Fire Pro Wrestling X Premium
THIS is THE best intro to the series. When emulation first got big this game was HUGE online. There used to be a whole online community just dedicated to making CAWs in this game. They pretty much 100% redid the graphics and animation and it looks GREAT. It still has around 100 guys plus 500 or so moves. They did cut down the amount of content compared to Special, but what they improved more than makes up for it and is what defined the entire series from this point on. X Premium added a proper modern style fully developed CAW mode for the first time in the series (and the first time in the genre really). You can make nearly any wrestler you can think of, or at least an adequate approximation thereof, complete with full moveset (though it doesn't have any moves invented after 1996, so don't expect to be able to 100% of the moves for modern flippy spot monkey indie guys) and you can even program their AI for when they're controlled by the CPU (though default AI is pretty adequate for generic/average style matches). And you can save up to 80 of them on one file. People made lots of saves for this back in the day and you can even find some still floating around. There's even a program called sfhack that was designed specifically for hacking the game. I'm currently working on a MASSIVE pack of saves for this game, which should be done in a few months, with a bunch of different themes. Overall this is still an absolute classic and a must play and the best starting point for getting into Fire Pro and learning the basics.

1. Super Fire Pro Wrestling X Premium
2. Super Fire Pro Wrestling Special
3. Super Fire Pro Wrestling Queen's Special
4. Super Smash T.V.
5. Contra III - The Alien Wars
6. Battle Pinball
7. Liberty or Death
8. Jikkyou Oshaberi Parodius
9. Super Mario Kart
10. Axelay

Honorable mentions for both Clock Tower and Famicom Tantei Club Part II, both of which would be on the list (at #9 and #10 respectively) if not for their lack of replay value. I enjoyed both IMMENSELY, but haven't really played them at all since beating them/getting all the endings.

There's TONS of runners-up, but I think those are the top 10 more or less.

Fire Pro Wrestling S for Saturn, Final Fire Pro Wrestling for GBA, Fire Pro Wrestling D for Dreamcast, Super Fire Pro Wrestling Special for SNES, and Super Fire Pro Wrestling Queen's Special for SNES, are also all among the GOAT games.

Submissions are ridiculously overpowered to the point that the MMA fighters and catch wrestlers can win in less than 30 seconds, and the hit detection on the ropes is fucked and doesn't detect wrestlers during moves so they go right through it to the floor if you're too close.

Hey, /vr/. First time making a thread here.

Anyway, I thought we could maybe have a thread about the GOAT, most content heavy, most customizable games in existence, the Fire Pro Wrestling series.

But the main reason why I started this thread was to announce and discuss a project that I'm working on. I'm currently in the process of making a pack of 7 or 8 saves for Super Fire Pro Wrestling X Premium to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the game's original release in March 1996. And I thought you guys might be interested in a preview of what I'm working on.

CONTINUED IN NEXT POST.

Fuck, I just realized that's technically the box for vanilla X, and not X PREMIUM.

This is the correct box.
