Agreed, people here like to bitch so much about authenticity, complaining that these games don't work on modern displays, you're playing on the wrong hardware, etc. but all of them play with shaders on PC. Having these collections is great just for the convenience of just being able to boot them up and play them. Also, there are some games like DMC1 or FFX that rely on lower resolutions to make their effects work, but MGS looks better the higher the resolution, it's a super clean looking series.

Lynx and Game Gear had abysmal battery life. 6 batteries for 3 hours looks pretty shitty. You couldn't even see shit playing them outside with those backlit screens. I had to keep a dozen extra batteries with me to play Game Gear on a road trip. With the Game Boy, 4 batteries lasted you almost 20 hours. Colors were washed out and ghosting was worse on GG and Lynx than on GB.

FPS's were really ground breaking at the time, but why the fuck would I wanna walk around carrying a gun in some shitty dungeon when I could click my way through an island, or space, or anywhere else for that matter. FPS's are done and they're never coming back. Half Life was a joke that sold damn near nothing, Doom was a flop, and no one even remembers what a Halo is. FPS fans can fuck off.

Honestly, I feel sorry as fuck for the kid who got this instead of a Saturn or N64DD. The Playstation is a goof and has gone down in history as the saddest sack of shit to ever be released.
