I unironically enjoy water levels. I find the water and swimming in the water pretty pleasant, and I like to explore underwater areas. Water also has a very good atmosphere to it. Also most of the swimming controls or underwater movement in many games I find to be mostly decent, with a few rare exemptions.

I think that while I have to ultimately give it to the Forest Temple, the Water Temple has absolutely fantastic atmosphere, music, visuals, and gameplay and I always enjoy navigating it even though I was one of those guys who got stuck in it for god knows how long back in the day. It's a great dungeon overshadowed by a few issues.

I'd like to have another dungeon in Zelda that goes for a similar ambiance and verticality.

This was the easiest temple in the game. It's only difficult if one tries to rush through it. Take your time and it's a breeze.
