This was a good game, basically like a mixture of Castlevania and Prince of Persia , it seems the GBC had some surprisingly quality licensed games for his short time on it was on the market

Has very little to do with Monster Rancher. Regardless of that, this is actually a Solomon's Key spinoff. For those not in the know, you go through a series of puzzle rooms, where you must escape and slay monsters. You do so with your magic wand/pickaxe which lets your create or destroy climbable blocks. This also has a few fairly clever "giant monster" boss fights that require some strategy and quick fingers.

This was just reskinned Elevator Action, that game also had a Game Boy Color-only spin-off I'm not sure if they are exactly the same game though.
