OP here. Thanks, that's better. I do like a challenge but I think it's annoying as fuck to have to replay a boss fight and two levels if you are stuck in level 3 in that world. DKCR games are a lot better in that regard. They are difficult but your lives are saves and you can easily acquire a lot of them. That way you have a challenge to complete the individual levels but not the frustration of having to beat levels you already played over and over again.

If I'm not mistaken Funky's Flight is free the first time you reach it. Either way you can get two invisible coins at the Zinger's fight if you fly near the top right after transforming into parrot.

After you beat the boss and it goes to the map screen can't you just go back to another world and save and then use Funky Flights to go back to the unlocked world? I don't remember having any trouble with this as a kid except for Webbed Woods which pushed my shit it constantly for a couple weeks. After beating it (I was 9) my friend's asked for me to come over and beat it on their game aswell because of how hard that level is.
