It has the best RGB output, but its Composite is still ass. The LaserActive’s Genesis PAC has the cleanest Composite output of any Genesis model, which is a necessity for games that use dithering heavily to simulate transparency.

Note the absence of rainbow smearing on the faint “transparent” black lines in pic related. That’s something not even my X’Eye can do.

X’Eye is very solid sound-wise and was marketed to audiophiles when it was on the market, LaserActive is a cut above even that since it does Optical Audio out.

I didn’t notice a difference between the two methods of outputting Composite when I tried. Granted, if you’re buying an X’Eye with how meme prices have been getting, I doubt you’re going to be using Composite as your main video output format anyways.
