Why can you even warp to worlds 2 and 3? Has anyone here ever done it?

I think the idea is for more experienced players to be able to skip to any part of the game that they want to enjoy. Same with the warp whistles in SMB3

Level 3 was where the "100 lives trick" was preformed, so probably the most commonly used warp.

nah I think it's 3-1 or 3-2. I think the idea was to show you can get one ups by knocking over lots of enemies with the shell.
