Hokuto no Ken for the Famicom is the only one I could think of where you always go from right to left. Most other games simply have you alternating from left to right and then right to left (like Ninja Gaiden or Castlevania).

Nah, IV is great.
I used to shit on it because it was Nintendo-exclusive, but now that I can play it on PS4 I realized it's amazing, or rather, I stopped pretending to hate it.
Maybe Sega fans still hate it? As a Sony fan, I give Castlevania IV a thumbs up, one of the best.
