Nothing is ever as fun as it used to be but there are lots of games on these consoles that are still more fun than all but the funnest (sic.) modern games. Just imagine how fun they were back in the day! The sudden jump to 3D literally blew minds.

Hard skip, the first try at 3D resulted in unbearable controls and eyesore graphics. The good games have been improved in 7th and 8th gen (Mario 64 -> Mario Odyssey, OoT -> Breath of the Wild, Resident Evil 2 -> Resident Evil 2 Remake). If it was 2010 5th gen would still be good but nowadays it's been replaced pretty thoroughly.

Yes, (except the Jaguar) even the 3DO had a good version of Street Fighter II, while the N64 clearly was the champ in terms of classics, like Mario 64 and Ocarina of Time.

The Jaguar has maintained the approaching absolute zero level of fun it's always had. 3DO is actually more fun since it can be had for around what it should've cost at launch, inflation not withstanding. The rest are good enough that they still have aftermarket products regularly produced by multiple companies.

SOTE is remembered more fondly than it deserves. The Hoth Sequence was good. The on foot levels were ok, controls were wonky. The speeder level was trash, the space levels were trash (Rogue Squadron was better for that kind of gameplay. Also better on PC).

Also calling SOTE a masterpiece is a bit of a stretch. It's enjoyable, but somewhat mediocre. Also I remember the sewers being an annoying maze when you're jetpacking around in shitwater.

Sure buddy. The game is one of the best games every made and probably the best SW game ever game apart from SW Trilogy by SEGA, and you're just angry you're terrible at it, admit it. SOTE is a hard game on Hard and Jedi, no doubt about it.
