/vr/ - Retro Games

I have a hard time telling whether I'm recalling actual memories or just imagining what it must've been like by piecing together images of the room, the computer and the game in my head, but by deduction my first games would've been these, plus that Space Cadet pinball thingy everyone played on Win 95 and a flight simulator of my dad's called TFX which I believe he bought at a later point however.

Babysitter brought an NES and some 100-in-1 cart, so it's hard to remember specifics, but I wanna say Castlevania 2 or Adventure Island 2.

Donkey Kong Country was my first
Then SMW
Then Megaman x3
And then.....Eye of the beholder lol. Big jump. I had no idea what I was doing but would wander the dungeon for hours.

That DOS Mario takes me back, I think that was my first one.

I'm pretty sure the first game I played was 1942 on a Jeutel cabinet. Though at the same period I remember watching a friend of my parents play Prince of Persia and Mach III on PC.

I don't want to embarrass myself because my earliest memories are from 98.

Gradius 1 on an arcade. Shit was amazing, but the game was so hard it eat all my money in a few minutes.

I can't remember which one was first, but it was between 3 games. Spyro, Crash Bandicoot, and Gex 2. I was 3 or 4.

Gopher for atari 2600. The memory is almost like a fever dream because I was so young and confused by it all.

Woulda been some mixture of my cousins' Atari 2600 games - Demon Attack, Barnstorming, whatever Star Wars game, E.T., whatever - or maybe some arcade game at the local swim club (most likely Moon Patrol).

Since my grandpa never threw out the old DOS and Win95 games I know exactly with what games I started.
Jurassic Park for DOS is the one that stands out. There's also a really weird sandbox game that I need to try sometime again.
