It's just SC with some balancing through 2 new units per race. It adds a lot to the game, actually. I've been playing some Brood War campaign lately, but what I really want to do is LAN it up. Too bad SC2 can't do that. :\

Medic: Heals infantry
Valkyrie: Strong and sturdy anti-air flyer w/ splash damage

Zerg:
Lurker: Mobile sunken colony hydralisk
Devourer: Stong but slow anti-air flyer, acid eats armor

Protoss:
Corsair: Fast anti-air flyer
Dark Templar: Invisible zealot
and by extension Dark Archon

The Medic and Lurker are a lot of fun. The Dark Archon can take control of an enemy unit, including workers such that Protoss can open up an races tech tree.

I haven't played Starcraft Brood War in over 10 years and I was never good at it. Is it too late to learn? Will I be able to find matches quickly on battlenet?

Also, I struggle with RTS game since I'm really slow in general. What should I focus on to make the most of ~60 actions per minute?

You will be able to find games, but pretty much anybody you will play is gonna be a LOT better at the game than you. Reading up on build orders and such is mandatory for BW because the average member of the remaining playerbase has a decade of experience with them. Prepare to get the pants beat off you, essentially.

Played SC: BW for 11 years

One day, suddenly I started to lag massively

'Starcraft Lag' I guess, I will lag a lot if played in a match with +3 or more players (Me and the host, leaving just melee matches avaliable; I was never good in melee matches), cannot host on my own.

Almost a year has passed, I miss my SC days.
I also lost my SC disks and Im highly attached to my original SC.
Also, I have this original SC on my ol' nice Windows XP laptop
Sadly, it's showing signals of its last moments, overheating more than before, greatly reducing its performance, I cant seem to find out whats wrong, if its the fan or if its some kind of short-circuit.

Once over-heated, the entire computer will be rendered almost useless, due its so slow performance and speed.

I could pirate a Starcraft Broodwar on my Windows 7 PC, but its not the same.

Also, if my memory doesnt fail me, USeast was dying, and West and Europe are already virtual deserts.

I play it every few years, one of my favorite games of all time. Al thou, I far to rusty now to play the multiplayer, maybe some fun games with friends and such.
