OoT was a huge disappointment. Beat it without dying once the first time I played it. Sold my N64 after I was done with it, I got it for this massively hyped up game and it turns out it's just barealy ok. Too many mediocrey segments.

For example: bad Metal Gear style parts for no real reason where you have to start over if spotted. ALTTP had guards to sneak past too but if you were spotted you just had to fight. How hard had it been to keep that convention?

There were so many low points like that, pulling the overall feel of the game down. Also what was the point of those pre rendedered 360 degree backgrounds in some places. It's a full 3D game on a 3D console.

And the fights were too easy. Shield up and hit them when they move forward. Repeat forever.

Yes. It has everything ALLTP has and it adds a more creative feel and a different more emotional story. The graphics feel the same even tho they're black and white. The system where you can assign a weapon/item to any of the 2 buttons is a major part. And you can jump, which gives an enormous freedom after playing ALTTP.
