Did you know the game known in the west as Zelda II: the Adventure of Link is simply a reskin of Famicom game Olympus no Tatakai?

Nintendo of America thought the original Zelda 2 (an expanded, harder Second quest based on the original) would look too similar to the original, and requested a more distinct game easier to market for the western audience

You're on a board for old games. Most peopple who actually grew up playing older games will mostly be in their late 20s to 40s. While of course 4chan will skew a bit to the younger range, someone who went to high school 20 years ago would only be in their mid to late 30s.

You know all those expectations about how you and your life will be when you are X years old? They are all naive thoughts about how people are in different age groups. I hate the cliché "You'll understand when you're older" but trust me, you will understand. Once you mature and have experience on life you will notice that each individual is as lost as they were younger. They just don't stress about it or over compensate.

Everyone knows Mario. He's famous for games like Super Mario Sluggers and Super Mario 3D Land.

But little known fact. Contrary to popular belief, he didn't make his first appearance in the hit Super Mario 64 trilogy.

Mario's origins in fact lie within the Donkey Kong Series, where he battled the mighty ape as the final boss of Donkey Kong Country. In those days, we fondly referred to him as King Jumper Man.

And that's the story of how Nintendo invented the run button.
