That is a completely idiotic argument. I'm a huge Batman fan and one of my favourite Batman games of all time is Batman Doom, which relies almost entirely on ranged combat.

Batman DOES spam batarangs occasionally, it's not as ridiculous as you say. It's like saying that ninja games where you throw shurikens are bad.

Every other Batman game has been a beatemup or a platformer, so it's actually an interesting and original approach to the character. A bit unusual, sure, but it makes up for it in other ways (graphics, atmosphere of the cartoon, soundtrack).

First of all, you're autistic if you think what skin a game has matters. The game could be great if it was about Spider-Man shooting web projectiles, your criticism is entirely irrelevant to the actual game.

Secondly, no capeshit games made any sense back in the day. They were just basically skins to sell more to fans of said thing, but the action in the game usually made no sense if you want to be autistic about it. In Maximum Carnage you can die as Spider-Man or Venom by taking civilian punches, who either would be able to knock out with a hard flick.
