I LOVE collecting US NES games! Who cares about Famicom? The only thing Famicom carts are good for is harvesting their PCBs to make NES cart conversions!

Hey I remember this thread from a few months ago. We got the one complaining about Composite cables, we got our bi-hourly anti-JRPG thread, and now this. /vr/ is bringing all the greatest hits back out!

Can someone explain the point of this thread?

the virgin famicom
>dated design that looks like a toy
>cheaply built
>rf only
>no power led
>no copy protection, anyone can make games
>tons of useless add ons
>called a family computer, it's not a computer and only children were allowed to use them
>brags about expanded audio, yet all of the most iconic nes music is 2a03 only
>hardwired controllers with wires even shorter than Japanese penises
>games come in inconsistent colors styles, and sizes
>needs a separate port for different controllers
>if games don't work, the console itself is dead

THE CHAD ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM
>timeless aesthetic perfectly compliments a home theater system
>uniform cartridges and artwork
>built like a brick
>restricted developer access with a copy protection that has been uncracked to this day
>an entertainment system, true to its name
>supports godly composite out while not excluding RF sets
>only the on board 2a03 is supported, meaning only the best composers are allowed
>glorious power led that serves as a diagnostic light
>if games can't load, it's likely the pin connector that's bad and not the whole system
>two controller ports which can be used for anything, no need for extra gimmicks
>controller cables so long, big black cocks would be shamed

With the exception of the in-hindsight unreliable ZIF socket the US NES is the best iteration of the console. Detachable controllers, integrated composite phonos and the most isolated circuitry with the best shielding. Even the disabled expansion audio is monkey easy to rebuild and doesn't even require the console to be opened.

If I could mix and match, my favorite console designs are the western NES and the SFC/European SNES.
Famicom carts look nicer and waste a lot less space. SFC carts have a nice aerodynamic look to them. I'd still say the NES aesthetic is charming, all in all. Carts included.
I don't know why non-Americans would bitch about something so petty. We gave Nintendo a solid customer base outside of Japan when the rest of the western world was content with C64 and the Master System... in PAL50 at that.

These are bootlegs. I was drunk last night and posted the first colorful pic of FC carts that I found.

But my point it's that the NES games are grey and soul-less and the FC ones had personality, both in color of the shell and the stickers on them.
