My white whale was Fallout Van Buren for the longest time. Supposedly there are a few barely functional builds floating around but ive never been able to find any. Thankfully many of the ideas they had were shelved and eventually found their way into in Wasteland 2.

I will take a spiritual successor over some janky, incomplete beta any day.

I don't know many details, but one interview says that at one point in development they scrapped everything they had up to that point and started over, another interview also says there were two distinct phases in development.
