ITT: shitty games you played back in the day because you didn't have that many games or for any other reason

I'm fairly certain this game is bad and even knew it at the time, but I was obsessed with the movie as a kid and didn't have many other Game Boy Color games anyway so I kept giving it tries. The thing I remember the most is that there was a multiplayer mode of sorts where you'd hide somewhere and then give the Game Boy to someone else so they could search for you. That was pretty alright. The actual game was like a bad generic 2D platformer.

I got the official "A bug's life" game for game boy color myself. The controls were horrible, but that was all I had and I didn't want to appear ungrateful to my parents who got it for me so I just tried to enjoy it.

i enjoyed the games when i was a kid but when i replayed them i realised that it's an incredibly easy game where the combat is basically just button mashing. if you use a ranged weapon it even autoaims the projectiles for you so they hit the enemy.

a lot of the functions of the game are basically dumbed down versions of what you see in the diablo series like skill trees, equipment durability, item drops, which is pretty cool for a gba game but you might as well just play diablo instead.

karate champ for nes. didn't have snes yet and was dying for sf2 at home. got it used from funcoland and immediately knew it was nothing like i wanted. still played it enough to get decent at it, but man, super disappointing.

This game is ok, pretty good all things considered, but when I was a baby it was the most intense thing ever
I feel like I've never felt true nostalgia until I replayed this a month ago, it was kind of magical

I did have actual fun playing it and I'd probably play it again, but I'm sure it's considered a shit platformer. But I also don't really play platformers often to begin with.

For GBC, my younger brother got pic related for Christmas one year and I ended up borrowing it a few times for whatever reason or the other despite being well-stocked with other, better GBC games. It's definitely not horrible, no real reason to play it now though.

For GBA, I was saddled with just the shitty EWJ port for awhile. I had the good fortune of not knowing exactly how bad it was though, since it had been years since I had last played it on consoles. My brother ended up getting this Spongebob game that was surprisingly decent as well (Revenge of the Flying Dutchman, I think). Worst things about it were the annoying voice clips and not having a save battery, otherwise I remember it being a solid enough licensed platformer with good graphics and music.

I remember getting this when I was 10, but by then modern warfare 3 was released so no one was really playing this except for hackers and dudes who have already put in there 10,000 hours, it wasn’t “shitty” but it was a disappointing experience, my mom got it for me from Walmart. And I enjoyed it for what it was at the time.

Likely not considered a good game generally but I have a soft spot for it since my grandpa got it for me out of nowhere, and I was grateful. He passed away just a few years ago too.
