SMW saves aren't really important mementos like
a game with in depth customization, collection or growth systems would be; all SMW saves wind up the same in a matter of hours. If you like the game you probably regularly clear your save to start again.

If you're too onions to desolder the old battery and solder in a new one you can always just bridge a new one in. You can even install a holder so you never need to solder again.

the old lithium cell has long gone high resistance so it's invisible to the circuit and you don't need to muck about nearly as much

they don't leak either so it's really not hurting anything to leave it in there

how many times have you actually went back and played a completed save anyway

I'm eagerly awaiting the inevitable chimp out by that faggot who gets triggered by battery holders because his daddy won't let him use his soldering

>> No.7414538

or, alternatively, dont be a weak faggot and just beat the game in one sitting like all the NES games. Its like a fukin hour tops, not taking into consideration speedrunner autism. God forbid you leave the system on for a bit longer if you gotta go take a shit or rub one out. there was that one japano who had his system on for like 20 fucking years was it or some insane shit to keep his progress at one part of a game

You can literally go to a dollar store, buy the battery, unsolder the old battery and put the new one in. You could do this within five minutes of leaving the store. And if you don't want to learn how to do that, plenty of game stores will do it for you.

I brought two SNES minis to sell on, I brought them both for £70, so i reckon i might sell them for £150 in the box.

I'm also gonna buy two copies of the Mario collection for Switch, that will be worth a lot in a couple of years

You worry about trivial inconveniences that will happen five years from now and can be fixed in half an hour, tops?

What for?
